The wood is ordered but how will it reach our site

Today marks the beginning of what feels like a great challenge, one that extends far beyond the confines of our initial design and build plans.

As I sit here with a knot of apprehension tightening in my stomach, I realize that we're embarking on a journey fraught with uncertainties and logistical hurdles. The source of our current unease is the arrival of the 16.5-meter truck tasked with delivering the Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) from Italy to our site. The sheer size of the truck alone triggers waves of concern –will it even be able to navigate the narrow roads leading to our construction site?

It's a question that gnaws at us, overshadowing at this moment our excitement for this ambitious project. But it's not just about the truck, it's about orchestrating the entire operation.

We find ourselves thrust into the role of organizers, scrambling to ensure that every piece of the puzzle falls into place. We need to secure not only a suitable truck for transportation but also a designated spot for unloading the CLT upon its arrival.

And that's just the beginning.Once the materials are on-site, we face the daunting task of transferring them to the precise location where construction will take place. This necessitates yet another vehicle –a smaller truck capable of navigating the narrower pathways within our site. It's a logistical dance, one that requires finesse and meticulous planning. And then there's the matter of the crane. Do we enlist its services on a daily basis, or should it come and go as needed?

The uncertainty hangs over us like a storm cloud, casting doubt on our ability to keep this intricate ballet of construction moving forward smoothly. Amidst this sea of challenges, a glimmer of hope emerges in the form of the Rothoschool on tour seminar. Through this unexpected opportunity, we've connected with someone who possesses invaluable experience in building wooden log houses. While our methods may differ, the shared logistics of transporting and assembling large wooden structures offer valuable insights.

As I reflect on the day's events, I'm reminded that every obstacle presents an opportunity for growth. While the road ahead may be fraught with challenges, it's also paved with the potential for innovation and collaboration. With determination as our compass and adaptability as our guide, I'm confident that we'll navigate this journey with success, one step at a time.

With hope and determination,
